SAL Warranty – We Have You Covered

As an innovative LED market leader, we accept the markets expectation of quality and compliance and such, we invest significantly in both local and international engineering and design resources, to ensure our products are compliant with all mandatory standards.

Now to comply with Australian Standards, “warranty” is not a matter of simply offering a “number”, but understanding that the product has been designed and manufactured by a company that:

is established, like SAL serving the Australian Lighting market since 1998. Always question warranties being offered longer than a business has been in existence – it is all about confidence in your supplier!

is identifiable as a Responsible Supplier under the mandatory Queensland Government Electrical Equipment Safety System www.erac.gov.au – , or for NZ the equivalent authority – it is all about your safety!

distributes products that are clearly marked with the mandatory RCM mark, which must be include the product model and or brand name. This mark declares that the products is COMPLIANT with all relevant Australian Safety and EMC electrical standards and the manufacturer has all associated test reports to validate the compliance and where requested, they can provide an SDOC – a Suppliers Declaration of Conformity – it is all about responsibility!

definition of warranty applications: Residential (domestic) usage is acknowledged as personal domestic use, such as a home or apartment utilising switch cycles of six (6) hours, Commercial usage is any application where an ABN applies to the installation utilising switch cycles of twelve (12) hours.

So when a SAL product does not meet your performance expectations and a warranty claim is requested, the following three (3) easy steps will assist you in making a claim.

Step # 1 – Within 30 days of the fault discovery, please contact the original place of the SAL product purchase during standard (local) business hours, with the following information (a) proof of purchase (b) description and quantity of the claimed fault (c) address of installation. (d) operating hours of the product. Warranty durations are documented on the product installation instructions and web page.

Step # 2 – It is then the responsibility of the original place of product purchase to report the matter to SAL after-sales;
