CEILING FAN WARRANTY FORM
Terms and conditions, effective September 2025

IMPORTANT: Please review all terms and conditions before lodging a claim to ensure the claim is valid and all required documentation is provided. Excluding public holidays and mandatory Christmas closure periods, your claim will be responded to within ten (10) business days.

Product application: the products are designed and warranted for residential interior or weather protected exterior spaces. Commercial use is permitted; however, this application is subject to a warranty in accordance with SAL' s standard 24-month warranty terms and conditions of sale, with no provision of in-house repair services.

Warranty: In accordance with SAL’s standard terms and conditions of sale, SAL warrant this product to be free from defects in materials and or workmanship for a period as stated below for goods not subject to incorrect installation, maintenance, operation, mishandling, environmental, unauthorised modifications or electrical operating conditions outside the nominated product specification as detailed in these installation instructions. The benefits to you given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Mandatory requirements: SAL products are designed in accordance with all mandatory International and AS/NZS Standards, which require installation by a qualified installer in accordance with these instructions and AS/NZS3000 , which incorporates regular cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.
- Residential warranty term summary:
Years 1,2,3 from date of purchase, fan motor, wall controller, ( DC controller, remote control and light where provided) are provided with a SAL in-house warranty service, where the product is found to have failed due to a manufacturing fault.
Note A: Service calls are conducted Monday - Friday during business hours only.
Note B: Service calls beyond SAL's designated CBD service regions, (and in addition to the free replacement components as nominated), pending the provision of an approved quotation, the claim will be provided with a maximum service fee reimbursement of $190 + GST. Call-out or travel fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Note C: Provision of product access equipment beyond a standard ceiling height of 2400mm is the responsibility of the purchaser
Years 4,5,6 from date of purchase, fan motor, wall controller, ( DC controller, remote control and light where provided) are provided with free supply of components to the original place of purchase, no provision for in-house service is provided where the product is found to have failed due to a manufacturing fault. - Specific warranty exclusions:
Product not installed (including blade balancing) or operated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Damage caused by electrical surge influences.
Operating the product not in accordance with the installation and operating instructions.
Exterior weather protected environments that impede the designed IP rating of the product and or environments that distort the normal (balanced) operation of the product, inclusive of material deterioration.
For consumers using renewable energy sources and or located in NSW and QLD, these locations may be subjected to ripple injection or distorted energy supply, which may influence the products performance, such as intermittent buzzing (in fans) and/or flickering of LED lights. This is not a warrantable event of the product and must be referred to your energy provider.
Use of third-party controllers or wall panel controls
In the event a service call is conducted and no known warrantable fault is identified, a service charge will apply. - Ready to make a claim?
